Game bugs list

Postby mr-tom » Mon 3 Oct 2011 06:19

The first post will be an index of known or presumed bugs in the game, plus their current status.

Please do not post requests for 1-1 technical support here - with the whole community using one thread, that would be far too confusing

Please do not hold discussions here, again, the scope of this topic is far too wide to meaningfully do that - please just report problems or update on them.

How this works:
- reply to this post with details of the bug (feel free to simply copy and paste if you already posted the problem elsewhere).
- I will then add it as a presumed bug (on the basis that at the point of reporting it is only one user)
- If other users say that the problem also relates to them, then it will be promoted to a known bug
- If Tech Support can solve it then it can be moved to Solved Technical Problems (with an index note kept here for future reference)
- If Cyanide tell us that it is definitely a bug and that they are working on fixing it, then I will update its status accordingly.

I'm off to work now - if you can add your problems, I will update this first post to log and report on them later.

Note to Tech Support / Cyanide - please feel free to edit this topic to update it.

Presumed Bugs:
Impaired commander function reported by Poster, Cyanide investigating
Units stuck on bridge reported by Poster, Cyanide investigating
Leader stuck in keep reported by Poster, Cyanide investigating

Known Bugs:
Turncoat Envoy Bug reported by masterdinadan, Cyanide are working on a fix

Solved Technical Problems:
Visit the solved technical problems thread to see if your problem has been fixed there.

Hope this makes some sort of sense. :P

Commander and Stuck Bugs

Postby Poster » Mon 3 Oct 2011 08:47

First, the game runs beautifully for me, gameplay bugs aside. GJ

I've noticed that the Commander unit does not appear to be doing anything: healing, fake army, etc, but he will fight.
That is until I used a turncoat commander in the field for a while. Lo and behold, HE started healing troops like crazy but wouldn't damage other units, so I arrested him. His replacement, who was not a turncoat, still would not heal but would inflict damage. It appears that the functionality between turncoat and regular commanders has been reversed to some degree.
No idea if the turncoat would create a fake army as I'd given up on trying to figure out how that was supposed to work.

Another glitch I am having periodically is units getting stuck. I had half of my army get permanently stuck on the sides of a bridge during the 'Escort the Envoy' campaign, no idea what happened there, aside from a large fight on the bridge. Perhaps they were pushed into the water terrain?

I have also had my Household Leader get stuck in his keep twice (red hand cursor, wouldn't take orders). The House Leader thing may be related to giving a treaty order when paused and then giving another order before unpausing.

A similar item is envoys sort of getting stuck trying to conduct diplomacy on a rebelllious village. If more than one faction's envoy has received diplomacy orders and both are on site before the rebellion is put down, neither gets priority for diplomacy, they just stand there until one is removed. Easily worked around by parking an assassin there for a while, or moving yours away if there are only two present, but a little confusing if you don't notice what has happened. Several envoys can and do pile up in these towns right atop one another. Perhaps the rebels could just eject the envoys in this situation?

Also, could you guys put in an option to set how many prestige points you'd like to play to on a given map? One hundred just adds up far too fast to get fancy. Or at least don't turn off the AI if I choose 'Continue', what's the point of that?

Thanks

Turncoat Envoy Bug

Turncoat Envoy Bug

masterdinadan wrote:I may have found a bug. I believe that the victim player actually sees his house on the "title" for the sept, though as far as I can tell he doesn't get prestige for it. However, it seems like it still counts for challenges. My opponent earned the "Prestigious" challenge while he only had 2 titles - As far as I can tell it was counting his "fake" sept title. I guess that might be intentional though, since it would give away the deception if he didn't earn his challenge.

In the fourth level of Dorne I can't see the peace/war bar (maybe you have done it consciusly) and i don't know how much left for war.
Moreover, i replenished the number of my horseman but instead that having new living unit, the ones death (in a previus battle) move with those alive simply crawling on the ground....astonishing!^^

First I love this game. The game works nicely. However a few suggestions, and one major bug. I noticed that there are two different currencies in the game. One being gold, and one that is blue. Not too sure what the blue currency is, and that there is no actual counter to let you know how much of the blue currency you have.
The one major bug that I ran into was when I gave the command for an assassin to kill a major monarch, the game fully crashed. Not too sure if you are suppose to be able to give that command, but apparently the game has no idea how to handle it. Thanks for the awesome game guys.

I have attached a screenshot relating to the following bug I think I found in game.
I was playing a multiplayer 1v1 against this guy and he assassinated my Great Lord, then started attacking my Heir who then of course became teh Great Lord.
But then liek, my Great Lord disappeared suddenly and reappeared in teh lake on teh map "The Trident"
