Replay not correct

Postby roftie » Mon 17 Oct 2011 16:07

Hi there. I played a 2v2 team game on the 4-player map The Crossing today. It was quite exciting, since we were far behind in prestige, and then managed to take control of all the titles just before the opponents reached 100 prestige, and went on to win the game.

When I view the replay, however, it shows the opponents winning, which is definitely not what happened. A large chunk of the game at the end is not displayed at all. Somehow the recording is just incorrect...

Ok, this has happened again, and is not isolated at all. I played a multiplayer HvH game yesterday and lost by 1 prestige point. The "replay", however, shows that I was 30 prestige points behind at the end, which is complete nonsense. There were also large battles that took place that are not shown in the replay at all. In fact, the armies just keep standing at the spawning point and never move away, although I know that those forces were used in a large battle somewhere else on the map.

This game feature is seriously broken (not to even mention the fact that one can't rewind... ). How does a "replay" not show exactly what happened in a game that was supposed to be recorded? These are not replays; these are inaccurate reconstructions by the computer. Pretty useless therefore. I hope the build orders shown at the end are at least true...

hello roftie.

i agree this is huge problem, a feature that doesnt work isn't useful at all. i only just started playing recently and i care a lot about replays, i was confused for a while, watching myself lose matches i won <_< . . . In fact our match today, i lose in my replay.. lol . .
Cyanide really needs to acknowledge this and start trying to fix this broken feature.

I finally figured it out all our replays are turncoats and i should be awarded a prize for being the first player to realise it.
