I guess they are and I would be running crazy too.

Then again I wouldnt release this game at this condition. It has gigantic potential and the developers have come a long way, only it seems to me they were too impatient to get the game out there so they didnt have time to finish it :) This game could have been game of the year with a few more months effort.

The idea about prestige loss through challenges is cool.

The always empty lobby poses a real problem.

hehe true, the problem with prestige is imo that there are no efficient ways to reduce enemy prestige because

1)Great lord is usually married immediately to have a heir in case of assassins+safe forward unit production
2)Secret agreements arent very effective mainly because either people focus on spies and inspect or people have noble ladies, i dont remember managing to keep a town for long in a serious game through secret agreement
3)If someone is winning through prestige why lose that prestige by announcing war and simply not waiting some more to reduce peace silently.

And sadly the empty lobbies are a problem. I managed to play 10-15 games but still its not like you are going to see someone online very often unless you are in friends list through steam group. They need advertising which costs $$$

'Personally I'd prefer them to focus on one game at this point. Namely to fix this game up and prepare an improved edition sort of thing (The Witcher 1) that hopefully would expand on the gameplay strengths it has and fix and vastly expand on the combat, war phase in general plus add ability to save in single and multiplayer HvH, more options to lengthen that feature of the game. I can imagine lengthy games swaying back and forth with betrayal and such. More options and availability for the interhouse diplomacy, such as relations with AI houses, more and more.

I bet GRRM could convince Bethesda to take care of the RPG now when Skyrim is soon to be released :p
But well you can dream.

I finally bought the game few days ago.
Here is in my opinion what could be added or changed + remarks
(Sorry for my poor English, but the french forum seems dead somehow)

Graphics:

They are not good but not that horrible. They are below average.
- I think the castles should look more like castles with small city around (or a couple of houses at least) with a little bit of animation around them to make them look more lively. Some castle should be redesigned they look like too generic. The art design is really poor in the game.
- Add better textures.

gameplay - Graphics

- The troops are too small, would it be possible to make them slightly bigger? around 1.5x
- Same thing for the banners.
- Would it be possible to have more soldiers in a troop, to have battles look a little more epic.
- On the minimap, when you make it big its not really clear, what city, mine etc belongs to whom.
so would it be possible for the visual aspect to put banners or something more distinctive so you have a quick view of what is happening.

THE GAME LACKS VISIBILITY/LISIBILITY!!!

- Also could it be possible to have like a status where you have information of what other players are doing. For me it seems that you play a little in your corner what knowing what is going on...
Then suddenly the games ends...
- and also in multiplayer how is it we have so poor options for the gameplay.
You should implement this:
- different prestige points like: 100, 150, 200 This could be quite easy to do?
- A conquest type of game?
- Add names please to cities, places, castles.
- Hotkeys

Ill probably add more in the next day I will try a few multi games.

(sorry posted more or less the same message in different topic. My mistake, was intended for this topic)

I would guess the unit models are just a result of an unpolished game, the same with unit animations. It just needed more time to get to where it oughta be.
The rest of the world, however, could be argued to be irrelevant, since the game is called A Game of Thrones and not A Song of Ice and Fire.

I have to say for me the same units don't pose that much of a problem. I seldom zoom in so close that I could differentiate them anyway and identify them by the way-too-small banners. The names for towns and castles were a much bigger issue.

Can you post a screenshot were I can see the banners? Or send it to me via a message?

It's not just a problem for me. Many reviewers stated that the banners are too small. Since they are also overlapping, they are not really helpful in differentiating the units.
