I have found a bug related to the Effectiveness skill of the envoy.
The Effectiveness skill is supposed to allow an envoy in a town to give a 25% boost to gold income, and an envoy in a castle a 25% speed increase in hiring/research. I was observing towns and looking at their incomes when I noticed that an envoy with the Effectiveness skill that enters a town, does not change the gold income stated on the information panel of the town. This made me curious, so I checked whether other factors do change it. A blood alliance changes the number, as do the merchant when it levels up, so the number is supposed to reflect the current income. I then tested the effects of the envoy on a castle. A castle under your control normally reduces hiring/research time by 20%. When I sent an envoy with the Effectiveness skill to a castle, again the number stated on the information panel of the castle did not change (it stayed 20%).
I then tested whether the game mechanic is completely broken, or whether the information panels are simply not updated. A merchant returning from a town that has an envoy with the Effectiveness skill, does indeed bring back 25% more gold than the merchant coming from the same town without the envoy. Similarly a castle that has an envoy with the Effectiveness skill, does indeed reduce research time by 25% (could not judge hiring times, but assumed they are correct too). So no real harm done then, one would think?
The problem comes with the calculation of the total gold income. The number shown at the top left is the sum of the incomes stated on the information panels of the feudal home, towns and mines. Since the income of towns that have envoys with the Effectiveness skill, are not changed, the total gold income shown is less than it should be. This total gold income number is used to see who gets the title for most income. Therefore, up to now, the title for the most income has been given to wrong players, since the numbers used to calculate it do not take into account the Effectiveness skill of envoys.
Could the devs please indicate that they will fix this?
