They may not be going for a game where you can pre unlock things. They may want you to experience things as you go along, not before you've even played the game.

Collectors editions are more than 'unlocks', they also often have cool stuff packaged inside the box, a cool canvas map of Westeros to hang on the wall would be really cool, or making of DVD and soundtrack, and even an art-book with concept art, even a short story written by GRR Martin to celebrate the release of the game would be awesome....

Too be honest pal, I'm not really sure what is going on because of the lack of information from the developers. For some games, I've seen pics and videos released a year before release.

00:00 is at midnight (AM)
12:00 is midday (PM)

also steam isnt unlocking till late afternoon 29 sept, so i dont know what vince meens when he says 00:01 29 Sept.... i smell treachery
