Sound doesn't work in-game?

Postby shamsia » Thu 29 Sep 2011 19:07

So, graphically, the game has been running fine for about the hour and half I played it. I noticed, however, that the sound does not work at all in-game for me. The opening cinematic has sound, but there is no sound anywhere else for some reason. I've checked other games on steam, and the sound is working fine, so i'm not sure why this is really happening. Any advice would be appreciated.

When I was able to play the game yesterday, for what limited time it would work. Sound would periodically switch on and off. I use a realtek audio on-board sound. Isn't the best sound but works out in all other games and media programs. I'm beginning to think major issues of the game are steam related. I'm unable to even launch the game anymore. Wish I could offer more help.

Thanks

Please update the drivers of your REALTEK HD audio controller:

1. Click http://support.focus-home.fr/Vista_Win7_R262.exe
2. Save Vista_Win7_R262.exe application file on the hard disk.
3. Once download done, run Vista_Win7_R262.exe and follow the instructions.
